To
Join NSSA:
- $40-a-year
for full members (active or retired members of the sports media,
including writers, reporters, anchors, editors, photographers,
producers, bloggers for recognized sports media
entities);
- $25
for associate members (non-voting college or professional sports
media relations, front office or other team personnel, all other
bloggers/internet writers and friends of NSSA);
- $20
for students (non-voting).
- $500
for a lifetime membership.
- $30
each for a Group Membership (minimum 5 members from a sports media
entity).
*Membership
runs 12 months from 1st day of month after dues are
received.
If
you need a card from AIPS (International Sports Press Association),
you must be an NSSA member. A U.S. passport is required
to join AIPS through NSSA, or a member must have permission from
the National Association from the country on the passport.
Also, since AIPS is a two-year membership, you must join NSSA for two years. Those members
applying for 2010/2011 should select the online option for $130
payment to NSSA (alternately, make check out to NSSA for
$130 (AIPS $50 and NSSA $80). Please
also make sure to email AIPS your photo. To apply for AIPS
card, you must also fill out the form at: http://www.aipsmedia.com/index.php?=tcard.

As many of you know, there is no
greater experience in sports journalism than to attend and
participate in the annual NSSA Awards Program. From the Southern
hospitality offered by the fine folks in Salisbury to the annual
banquet at the old train station, the weekend long has been a
tribute to the business of sportscasting and sportswriting.
We glided through our 50th year
of celebrating the best in both fields and approach the next
half-century with the same enthusiasm for making NSSA significant
nationwide.
We need your help to continue
to make this happen and have instituted the "Feel The Excitement"
campaign.
A $50 (or more) contribution to
"Feel The Excitement" will mean listing your name in the official
NSSA Awards program. As we did a year ago, the contribution can be
made in honor
or in memory
of someone of your choosing.
